Alongside Michael Stahl-DavidLast month, word broke that actress Abigail Spencer had landed the female lead in the Joss Whedon-produced supernatural romance In Your Eyes. Well, she'll have more time to devote to other projects as the actress is seemingly no longer involved (at least as a lead), since Zoe Kazan and Michael Stahl-David have won the central roles. While the Avengers director wrote the script and is overseeing the project as producer, Brin Hill is in the big chair, and we're now privy to a few more story details. In Your Eyes will follow Dylan (Stahl-David), a bloke who did time in the slammer rather than rat out his accomplices. Following his release, he's trying to make ends meet living in a trailer park in New Mexico. For some inexplicable reason, Dylan is connected to Rebecca (Kazan), a woman married to an older doctor in Connecticut. The two have never physically met, but can see and hear each other. Hill is set to kick off shooting soon in LA and New Hampshire.Kazan has appeared in the likes of Revolutionary Road and Meek's Cutoff. She'll next be seen in He Loves Me, which she also wrote. Stahl-David is probably still best known for his role as Rob in Cloverfield (which is likely where he came to Whedon's attention) and will show up in Mutual Friends and Girls Against Boys.
